Description
The T’nalak Handbag is more than an accessory—it is a living thread of culture carried in handwoven form. Crafted from T’nalak, a traditional abaca-based textile of the T’boli people of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, each piece reflects centuries of Indigenous knowledge and spiritual artistry.
T’nalak is created by T’boli women known as dreamweavers, who receive intricate patterns in dreams from Fu Dalu, the spirit guardian of abaca. These visions are not replicated or copied—they are gifted, remembered, and woven with devotion, making every textile truly one-of-a-kind.
Transformed into a handbag, this sacred fabric becomes a modern expression of heritage—bold, meaningful, and deeply rooted in Filipino identity.
