What began in 1968 as “Wooden Heart,” a small handicrafts shop under the Quezon Bridge in Quiapo, Manila, has since grown into one of the Philippines’ most enduring symbols of cultural pride. A shared love for Filipino artistry turned into our lifelong mission — preserving tradition, empowering local artisans, and crafting a legacy of excellence.
For over five decades, Balikbayan Handicrafts has championed Filipino heritage through handcrafted pieces—from Kamagong furniture and mother-of-pearl decor to Filipinianas and Barongs to indigenous textiles and traditional crafts.
